Michelle has lived in many places, but counts Maine as one of the best. In addition to the smell of ocean water in the air on rainy days in Portland, she loves puppies, photography, funny people, the Maine Red Claws, traveling, fresh tomatoes, Cambodia and filling out forms. It can sometimes feel like nothing in Maine is new. The same old rivers, the same worn trails. In ways, this is what makes Maine so wonderful. There’s a lot here that feels like home. But every so often it’s fun to unearth the attractions that we’ve never been to for a dose of something new. That’s why we loved stumbling across this fun bridge in Maine! Check it out for a fun day trip the next time the sun is out!
If you're a regular reader of Only in Maine you'll remember that Bethel Outdoor Adventure is one of our favorite places for gem finding. But, it offers so much more.

And there's plenty to see, which means this route is more than just a way to get across the Androscoggin. It's also a great way to remember why we live here.
This a simple way to enjoy a day out in Maine. And it's even better if you hope you make a few days of it by camping here!
