The food scene in Maine is something the rest of the country can only talk about! Whether you’re on the hunt for great seafood or you’re more of a landlubber, the number of options in Vacationland will keep you busy for months. While we love eating our way through Portland, we recently came across another great reason to visit one of the state’s most talked-about restaurants. The absolutely epic Bloody Mary!
The Highroller Lobster Co. is a relatively new addition to Portland's Old Port brick-and-mortar scene, but it's quickly become one of the most popular spots for lobster in the entire state.
Including this lobster grilled cheese. But, you came here looking for a Bloody Mary and while we love to talk about the food here it's that could-be-a-meal drink that we love most.
Behold! The most loaded Bloody Mary you'll ever see. The Surf and Turf Bloody Mary comes with an entire slider on top, plus a skewer of fresh and meaty lobster.
They even offer different kinds. This monstrosity is called Bony’s Big ‘Ol Bloody and comes with cocktail shrimp, half of a lobster tail, an oyster with caviar, a bacon strip, and various and sundry garnishes all sitting on top of their house spicy mix with Tito’s Vodka. At $25 a pop it's not cheap, but it's so very worth it!
The Highroller Lobster Co. is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. You can learn more about them by visiting the website or check them out on Facebook. Their dining are is on the smaller side, so you may need to wait on busy summer weekends. You can give them a call on 207-536-1623.
