We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. To find some of the most epic BBQ in Maine, you'll want to head to The Shed in Rangeley.
While it's located off a main road, this spot is off-the-beaten path to those who don't venture away from the coast making it just one more reminder that inland Maine is pretty great.
House smoked on a warm brioche bun and topped with pickles & coleslaw (and in this case a hearty serving of bacon!) this sandwich is something of a legend within the walls of The Shed.
Though, you can't go wrong with any of the sandwiches on the list, including the pulled pork sandwich, the Shed burger and the incredible ten pound sledge which comes with blue cheese crumbles and bacon.
Come with a group for a chance to try as much on the menu as possible and be sure to order a bloody Mary to make things that much more celebratory. There's no better reason to cheers than good BBQ, right?
The Shed is located at 2647 Main St. in Rangeley, Maine. Learn more about them on their website, including the full menu. You can also follow them on Facebook. They’re open Monday through Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from noon to 9 p.m. Give them a call on 207-864-2219 to check winter hours.
