The Adorable Roadside Motel In Maine Offers A Unique Midcoast Stay
As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
There’s no other place in the county quite like Maine. Between the craggy coastline, the lighthouses that dot the landscape, and the great food, visitors and those who live here are pretty lucky. In addition to all the obvious things that are captured in photos, we love the mix of old and new that can be found here. This little motel, located in the midcoast, is a great example and the idea of an overnight stay has us pretty psyched.
The Linconville Motel, located in the midcoast, has been an adorable roadside spot since 2015 when local Alice Amory converted it into what it is today. The original location dates back to the 1950s which means its full of history. And we love the way it is today!
It's easy to think this place is unique. It certainly is! But at the same time, we've come to love places like this in Maine simply because they're just so Maine.
The Linconville Motel is open seasonally from mid-May through mid-October. You can learn more about the motel and see availability through the fall by visiting their website. But be aware that this place books up fast and while there’s typically space after the summer, you’ll want to make reservations as soon as your plans are solidified. You can also follow them on Facebook. The motel can be reached on 207-236-3195.
Michelle has lived in many places, but counts Maine as one of the best. In addition to the smell of ocean water in the air on rainy days in Portland, she loves puppies, photography, funny people, the Maine Red Claws, traveling, fresh tomatoes, Cambodia and filling out forms.
