It’s almost that time, Mainahs. Despite the current spring snow we’re experiencing, summer will be here soon. And, with summer comes the tourists. It’s certainly not hard to spot one, but it does get more challenging as the summer goes on and we all begin to blend into one Maine-loving mass. To help you discern who is legit and who is from away, we’ve compiled this list of 16 ways to spot a tourist in Maine. Tourists, it doesn’t mean we don’t love you. It just means that despite your nautical shirt, you’re not fooling anyone.

1. They've gone to great lengths to look appropriately "Maine."

2. They ask for directions to "Ca-lay."
