This Louisiana Restaurant Way Out In The Boonies Is A Deliciously Fun Place To Have A Meal
Sometimes, the best places are worth the extra effort to find. That’s certainly the case with this rustic little tavern way out in the boonies. Gas up the car, because some of the most mouthwatering po’boys and Cajun meals are waiting for you at this Louisiana restaurant.

For a truly picture perfect day, take this road trip and stop off at some of the plantations along the way.

The restaurant opened its doors in 1990, but the building is much older. Over the years it has been many businesses including a grocery store, liquor store, and even a pharmacy. Years ago, asbestos shingles had to be removed from the sides of the century-old building, revealing a bit of a time capsule. Beneath the shingles were vibrant, hand-painted advertisement from the 1940s that were still in mint condition. They’ve kept the exterior as it was found, adding a unique and charming element you can spot from the road.

The casual atmosphere when you walk in makes you feel right at home.

Introduced in 1992, these bar stools were designed to reflect people from all walks of life. You’ll see a shrimper, a cowboy, a golfer, etc.

Their kitchen open at 11 a.m. and stays open late seven days a week, so no matter when you go, you’re sure to have a delicious meal.

From po’boys to pork chops, there’s something for everyone on the menu. You can choose from hearty Cajun dishes, burgers, salads, steaks, and more!
