1. Deano’s Pizza
Deano’s opened its doors in 1971 and has been a Lafayette favorite ever since. They’re constantly creating new pizza creations, so you’ll have to keep coming back to try them all. The Cajun Executioner will make you rethink everything you know about pizza. This spicy pie has pepperoni, hot sausage, spicy shrimp, onions, bell peppers, and a boatload of jalapeños. If you like spice, this is the pizza for you.

Located in the heart of downtown Alexandria, Embers should be on everyone’s bucket list. Their Rougarou pizza is great for anyone who likes a little kick to their pizza. It’s loaded with boudin, andouille sauce, yellow onions, poblano peppers, red bell peppers, andouille sausage, a blend of artisan cheeses, and Steen’s cane syrup.

3. Frank’s Pizza Napoletana
The Pablo, a Mexican-inspired pizza served up at Frank’s, is a seasonal treat, so when you spot it on the menu, be sure to order it. Loaded with ground beef, roasted chicken, or braised pork, as well as jack cheese, black beans, jalapeños, red sauce, a blend of mozzarella and Pecorino-Romano cheeses with a drizzle of sour cream, pico de gallo, and sliced avocado, this is one pizza that will make you feel like there’s a fiesta in your mouth.

4. Johnny’s Pizza House
This southern chain has some incredible pizzas. For a limited time, you can feast on their Sweep the Swamp pizza, which is loaded up with Cajun spices, shrimp, crawfish, crab, jalapeños, andouille sausage, onions, and mozzarella cheese. You’ll fall in love at first bite!

5. LIT pizza
If you’re a fan of crispy crust, then you have to head over to LIT, where they blast-fire the pizzas to achieve a perfectly crispy crust. You can create your own pizza if you’d like, but we also recommend the Pesto Pollo, which has a white sauce, ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, roasted chicken, roasted red peppers, artichokes, and mushrooms with a drizzle of pesto.

6. Peppers Pizzeria
Peppers has been a favorite of southeastern Louisianians since 1998. Its jambalaya pizza combines the best of both worlds, featuring Cajun smoked sausage, grilled chicken, tomatoes, red onions, roasted garlic, green peppers, and extra hot spices for a nice little kick.

7. Red Zeppelin Pizza
The Bou-Ray pizza here is just crazy enough to work. It’s got alligator sausage, Tasso ham, red onions, and jalapeños with mozzarella served over boudin. Yum!

8. Redfish Pizza
Gumbo pizza? That’s on the menu over at Redfish Pizza - and it’ll make your taste buds explode. This perfect pizza starts with a spicy roux with red and green peppers topped with Spanish onions, chicken, and andouille sausage smothered in mozzarella cheese.

9. Tony’s Pizza
Tony’s has been a Lake Charles favorite since 1968, and it’s time you pop on over to grab a slice of their delicious pizza. The spaghetti and meatball pizza combines your favorite Italian dishes into one delicious pie. It has ground beef, Italian sausage, and pepperoni topped with a heaping portion of their amazing spaghetti and meatballs and sliced ham.

10. Wildwood Pizza
Ditch the traditional red sauce for something different and try the Shrimpin’ Ain’t Easy pizza at Wildwood, which starts with an Alfredo sauce and is topped with mozzarella, spinach, garlic, artichoke hearts, and tons of delicious shrimp.
