There’s An Adventure Park Right Next To An Animal Sanctuary In Louisiana, Making For A Fun-Filled Family Outing
If you’re an animal lover and/or a thrill seeker, then you’re going to love this dynamic duo. Tucked away in the tiny town of Ethel, Barn Hill Animal Preserve and Magnolia Ridge Adventure Park offer a full day’s worth of activities, adventures, and snuggles. From the tiny tots to the big dogs, this is one outdoor adventure in Louisiana that all ages will enjoy.

At Barn Hill Animal Preserve, you can!

The 13-acre preserve is a great place to introduce the next generation to these animals, but Barn Hill is more than just a petting zoo.

To be honest, the kangaroos aren't that great with the poses, but they'll supervise and make sure you've got great form.

Visit the Barn Hill Preserve website for a full list of all the incredible encounters you can have here.

The 900-foot course takes about 45 seconds to descend and offers some truly stunning views of the Comite River beneath you.

Obviously, you can just visit one or the other, but they do offer a bundle package where you'll spend two hours at each location. You'll start off with a tour of Barn Hill before heading over to Magnolia Ridge to learn the ropes (pun intended) before soaring through the woods.
Be sure to check out Barn Hill’s website as well as Magnolia Ridge’s website for rates, dates, and special events. Want to take your zip lining and love for animals to the next level? You can zip line over a live alligator pond at Gators and Friends in northern Louisiana!
