6 Tiny Trails In Louisiana With Mighty Views That Almost Anyone Can Hike
What’s better than a trail with a view? A short and sweet trail that you can knock out in an hour or two! All of these trails are less than five miles long, and even though they may be on the short side, they are still overflowing with scenic beauty.

There are a few different trails at the Northlake Nature Center, and each one will lead you through beautiful wetlands with stunning views along the way. It’s a great spot to see wildlife or go birdwatching, and all of the trails are short enough that even the little ones will enjoy themselves.

For the most stunning views you’ll come across in Louisiana, take this little 1.5-mile trail in the Kisatchie National Forest. You’ll get some good elevation which will allow you to see a unique treetop view of the forest.

If you’ve never been to Tickfaw State Park, you’re in for a treat. There are a few different trails at this park, all of them under 3 miles long. The River Trail is the longest, and along this 3-mile trail, you’ll encounter multiple ecosystems, beautiful wetlands, and the opportunity to see countless wildlife along the way.

The White Tail Trail is just over 2.5 miles and features beautiful views of Lake Claiborne. Named after the abundance of white-tailed deer that live in Lake Claiborne State Park, this easy trail is perfect for a peaceful stroll.

At 1.5 miles, this lovely loop trail is filled with beautiful views every step of the way. The tall pines provide just enough shade and the bridge through the swamp is just stunning.

Hidden in the heart of the Kisatchie National Forest, you might find the place all to yourself as you traverse the 1.8-mile loop trail. Beautiful views of Valentine Lake, canopies of towering pine trees, and the sounds of songbirds in the distance…sounds delightful, right?
