Often overlooked as a “drive-by” town for folks driving along LA-71, there’s one restaurant that’s worth a stop, and they just so happen to have some of the best pies in Louisiana.
That's almost 100 years! Lea Johnson opened the doors to this historic restaurant back in 1928 and committed to serving good food in the hopes that people would return. It quickly became a neighborhood favorite, and the rest, as they say, is history.
No frills, all flavors here. Pull up a chair and get ready for some good old-fashioned Southern cooking!
The menu is written daily on a chalkboard and covers everything from fried chicken to stuffed cabbage rolls. Lea’s is famous for their ham, and you’ll always find their delicious baked ham and ham sandwich on the menu.

And the recipe hasn't changed in nearly a century. There's something special about knowing that a pie you tasted in the '70s is the same recipe served today.
