The Largest State Park In Louisiana Is Also Home To A Beautiful Boardwalk Trail
It may be hot outside, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still get outdoors and do some exploring. Louisiana has 21 state parks peppered throughout the state, and each one offers nature trails filled with beautiful scenic views. Today we are headed to good old Ville Platte to take a look at the largest state park in the Pelican State that just so happens to have one of the most beautiful boardwalk trails in Louisiana.

Spread across a staggering 6,400 acres, this central Louisiana park is the largest in the state, and certainly worthy of a road trip.

There are primitive camping spots along the way where you can pitch a tent and stay for the night before taking on the rest of the trail.

The park is home to countless alligators, turtles, deer, rabbits, wild hogs, and thousands of birds.
