This plantation house was built in 1835 and remained in the same family, the Trumbull family, for more than 100 years.
This beautiful plantation also has its fair share of hauntings—primarily from the family.

One of the young men who grew up here, William Trumbull, was said to have drowned early in life in the Mississippi River.
Visitors here say they can still sense his ghost playing tricks, turning lights off and on as well as opening and closing doors.

The unsurpassed beauty of the gardens here are also fodder for ghost tales. Some even say that the trees themselves that line the alley here are haunted.
Grace Episcopal Church and Cemetery, 11621 Ferdinand St.

Next stop, this historic church which was founded in 1827, making it one of the oldest protestant churches in St. Francisville.
This was the site of the legendary "Day the Civil War Stopped", a unique day in history when the two sides of the Civil War halted battle to bury a general who had passed.

The stories that swirl around here center around a young girl who was a slave at the plantation named Chloe.
