7 Campgrounds In Louisiana With Sandy Beaches For Plenty Of Fun In The Sun
The weather is heating up, which means it’s the perfect time to get outside and enjoy some fun in the sun! Pack your bags, because we have some beautiful campgrounds here in Louisiana that offer sandy beaches that are perfect for sinking your toes into. Don’t forget the sunscreen!

1. Lake Claiborne State Park
This beautiful 643-acre park located in northwestern Louisiana has a lovely white sandy beach situated on the shore of the 6,400-acre, man-made Lake Claiborne. Sink your toes in the sand, slather on some sunscreen, and enjoy the breathtaking water views for a picture perfect day. Address: 225 State Park Rd., Homer, LA 71040
2. Cypremort Point State Park
Overlooking Vermilion Bay, Cypremort Point State Park has some incredible little cabins that are perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway. There’s a charming little beach for soaking up some sun, and the fishing here at Cypremort Point State Park is amazing. Be sure to stick around for the sunsets, they’re some of the best in the state. 3. Fontainebleau State Park
Fontainebleau State Park is a 2,800-acre state park over in St. Tammany Parish with some absolutely incredible waterfront cabins. The beach overlooking Lake Pontchartrain is the perfect little spot to kick back an enjoy a book after you explore the nature trails that lead you through the lovely scenery. 4. Grand Isle State Park
If you’re looking for some outdoor fun in the sun, look no further than Grand Isle State Park. This natural oasis offers something for everyone. Not only is it a fisherman’s paradise, but birdwatchers will love walking along the nature trails, where you can spot countless species of migratory birds. And, of course, the endless miles of beaches are always a popular attraction. The best part about this beach is that you can camp right on the beach! 5. Holly Beach
Head on down to the Cajun Riviera for a delightful beach day. Located in Cameron Parish, Holly Beach is great for searching for seashells and dipping your toes into the Gulf of Mexico. You can drive right up on the beach here, so bring your tent and spend a night or two listening to the sounds of the waves crashing onto the shore.
6. Jimmie Davis State Park
You’ll find Jimmie Davis State Park nestled on a peninsula overlooking Caney Lake in Chatham, Louisiana. The park features several rental cabins, as well as many RV campsites. On a beautiful day, the views from the beach are simply mesmerizing. Address: 1209 State Park Rd., Chatham, LA 71226
7. South Toledo Bend State Park
Nestled along the shores of the Toledo Bend Reservoir, visitors to this scenic state park can expect a full day of outdoor adventure. From fishing to cycling and hiking, you’ll never run out of things to do here.
