This Incredible Cajun Restaurant Might Just Be The Best Kept Secret In Louisiana
Sometimes, the most unassuming of restaurants end up being the most delicious. That’s certainly the case with Roberto’s. Whether you stop by for lunch or dinner, you’re sure to have a memorable meal here.
You’ll find Roberto’s nestled along the iconic River Road.
It’s the perfect place to stop after a day of leisurely driving down that scenic road.
It might not look like much from the outside, but remember, you're not supposed to judge a book by its cover.
The food is out of this world.
Housed in a historic building that was built in the 1850s, you’ll love the charming atmosphere when you step inside.
It used to be the J.J. LaPlace & Sons General Store, and they’ve kept some of the wonderful decor that adds to the rustic, relaxed vibe of the place.
Roberto’s has some of the most mouth watering Cajun and Creole food you’ll find in the area.
It's always those little unassuming places on the side of the road that serve some of the best food you've ever had.
They serve all the classics like crawfish étouffée and gumbo, plus several unique dishes that never disappoint.
Like their Catfish Billy: grilled or fried catfish fillet topped with crawfish étouffée served over a bed of rice.
And don't forget to save room for dessert.
Pictured above is their King Cake Bread Pudding. Get it before it's gone!
You can find Roberto's at 1985 Highway 75, Sunshine, Louisiana 70780.
They're open for lunch and dinner Tuesday-Saturday.
