A recent article in Conde Nast picked out some of the absolute best restaurants—in the entire world! It should come as no surprise that two restaurants in Louisiana, Shaya and Brennan’s, made the list. You can read the full list here. We’re so taken by the amazing restaurant and institution that is Brennan’s, we wanted to focus on this amazing restaurant to explore all that it has to offer.

Established in 1946, Brennan's has been a French Quarter institution since that time, originally opening on Bourbon St.

Eventually, in 1956, it took over the current building, which was originally built in 1795 and housed the great grandfather of Edgar Degas as well as the Louisiana State Bank, found at 417 Royal St.
What was built is one of the most beautiful restaurants in all of New Orleans, and a loving restoration that began in 2013 and recently opened revealed all of the amazing glory of this building.

The front room offers amazing views of Royal St. while diners can enjoy the intricate murals and decor around the main dining room.
The Roost Bar is one of the favorite spots to hang out when you visit Brennan's, offering up some of the best cocktails you'll find anywhere.

Drinks like Mr. Funk and the Rooster Royale keep patrons coming back year after year.
