1. Restaurant des Familles

Known as the home of the original fried catfish, Middendorf’s Seafood Restaurant has been feeding locals since it opened in 1934. Their outdoor deck offers beautiful waterfront views, and it’s a spectacular location to watch the sunset over the lake.

3. Palmettos on the Bayou
Located on the beautiful Bayou Bonfouca in Slidell, Palmettos on the Bayou offers delicious Louisiana cuisine in a beautifully rustic setting.

4. Regatta Restaurant
Located right on the scenic Lake Arthur, you can spend the day out on the boat then just park your boat right on the docks and walk in. This Cajun-themed restaurant features deliciously fresh seafood, steaks, and pasta all while enjoying a lovely view of the lake.

5. Rip Van Winkle Gardens Cafe
After you take a stroll through the gardens, enjoy a nice meal from the Cafe at Rip Van Winkle Gardens. Their outdoor patio overlooks the beautiful Lake Peigneur, and you may even see a wandering peacock or two.

6. Ruffino’s on the River
At Ruffino’s, you can expect the best: the best food, the best service, and the best views. From steaks to seafood, there’s something for everyone on the menu here at Ruffino’s, and you’ll absolutely love it.

7. Tsunami Sushi
Sushi lovers, it doesn’t get much better than this. Opened in 2005, Tsunami offers some of the best sushi in Baton Rouge. Not only that, but the rooftop bar is simply phenomenal. The views of the Mississippi River are out of this world, and you’ve got to see it to believe it.

8. Tunk’s Cypress Inn
Tunk’s Cypress Inn opened in 1978 and just gets better every year. The rustic atmosphere is complemented by the views of Kincaid Lake, and the only thing better than the view is the food.

9. Warehouse No. 1
Located in historic downtown Monroe overlooking the Ouachita River, Warehouse No. 1 Restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy a lovely meal with friends. The outdoor deck offers spectacular views of the river, and their seafood and steaks are some of the best in Monroe.
