It's also known as the 'floating forest', and is known for its sprawling fingers that are home to some gorgeous cypress and other water loving trees. And of course plenty of Spanish moss.
The lake is about 12 miles wide and 16 miles long, and could have been formed during the 1811 New Madrid earthquake.

Others say it may have formed from a huge log jam that dammed up the Red River.
Fishermen absolutely adore this lake, which is rich in Crappie, Bream, and Bass.
