Natchitoches is the oldest permanent settlement within the borders of the 1803 Louisiana Purchase.

It was established in 1714 by Louis Juchereau de St. Denis. The area was named after the indigenous Natchitoches people. The incredible history here makes it an amazing place to visit.
Start your day on Front St., the historic corridor that is filled with amazing shops and restaurants.

Don't forget to stop by the Kaffie-Frederick, Inc. general store, which is the oldest general store in Louisiana.
Meat pies are the famous dish in Natchitoches.
