The Timeless Seafood Restaurant In New Orleans That’s Been Around For Over 50 Years
When it comes to seafood restaurants in New Orleans, our cup runneth over. The Crescent City is peppered with incredible seafood restaurants, each with their own unique spins on classic New Orleans dishes. This one particular restaurant over in Bucktown has been delighting locals for over fifty years, and it’s time you pay them a visit.
You’ll find Deanie’s Seafood over in Bucktown on Lake Avenue in Metairie.
Established in 1961, this timeless seafood restaurant also boasts its own seafood market that’s adjacent to the restaurant. It was the first seafood market in the area, and one of the first to sell boiled seafood in New Orleans.
While Bucktown is their original location, they’ve recently opened two other locations over the past few years.
One is located in the French Quarter on Iberbille Street and the other is located in the Garden District on Magazine. Each location has its own unique vibe, ranging from a friendly neighborhood eatery to a charming local atmosphere.
No matter which location you go to, you’re guaranteed to have some of the most amazing seafood of your life.
Be sure to come hungry, because they’re known for their enormous portions.
For starters, you can't go wrong with their barbecued shrimp.
A longtime fan favorite, these Gulf shrimp are sautéed in their own signature blend of buttery seasonings and served with a French baguette for dipping.
Deanie’s is known for their enormous portions of fried seafood.
You can’t go wrong with anything, but their fried favorites are crabs, shrimp, and oysters.
In addition to their heaping piles of fried seafood, they also feature some Deanie’s signature dishes that will dazzle your tastebuds.
Pictured above is their barbecue shrimp pasta with Louisiana shrimp and their creamy New Orleans style barbecue sauce in a nest of freshly cooked pasta.
Whether you're on oyster lover, a shrimp fan, or even just in the mood for a plain old burger, Deanie's has got you covered.
No matter what you're in the mood for, you'll find it at Deanie's.
With three locations to choose from, you're never more than a hop, skip, and a jump away from some of the best seafood of your life.
