7 Snoball Stands In New Orleans That Are Worth Waiting In Line For
During the spring and summer months, snoballs are a part of any New Orleanian’s diet. Since we’re approaching snoball season, we thought we’d give some love to some of the best snoball stands in and around New Orleans. These places are absolutely waiting in line for, so be sure to check them out!
1. Hansen’s Sno-Bliz
Opened in 1939, Hansen’s is one of those places that all New Orleanians have been visiting since they were kids. What sets Hansen’s apart from the rest is their homemade syrups and toppings. You’ll be able to taste the difference! 4801 Tchoupitoulas Street.
2. Plum Street Snoballs
Plum Street Snoballs has been in business since 1945, and they’re a much loved tradition for locals in that area. They’re open for the season, so go check them out! 1300 Burdette Street.
3. Imperial Woodpecker
Locally owned and operated by Nessa Peterson, Imperial Woodpecker features classic flavors like bubble gum, grape, and wedding cake plus unique flavors like Sweet Lou’s nectar cream, cream of bananas foster, and many more. Your patience will be rewarded, we promise! 3511 Magazine Street.
4. Ike’s Snowballs
Located near City Park, Ike’s menu includes snoballs, soft serve ice cream, sundaes, boudin, hot dogs, nachos, and more. Take advantage of their outdoor seating and enjoy your sweet treat with some lovely scenery. 520 City Park Avenue.
5. Pandora’s Snowballs
They’ve been serving delicious snoballs to New Orleanians for over 40 years, with no plans on stopping. They’re really generous with the syrups here, and their prices are incredibly reasonable. 901 N. Carrolton Avenue.
6. Sal’s Sno-Balls
Head on over to Metairie for some of the best snoballs in the city. They’ve been in business since 1960, and their menu includes snoballs, sundaes and ice cream cones.
Opened in 2016, this relatively new snowball stand immediately started making waves with their unique flavor combinations and inventive snoballs. They’re home of the always popular cheesecake stuffed snowball, which you should certainly check out when you visit. 2 locations: 8108 Hampton Street in New Orleans and 2311 N.
