1. City Park
This 1,300 acre public park is one of the most visited urban parks in the United States, and for good reason. With views like this, it’s easy to see why so many visitors flock to this area. Grab a coffee from Morning Call and enjoy a leisurely stroll under the oak trees.

2. Audubon Park
People have been coming to Audubon Park for more than a hundred years. This urban oasis is located in historic uptown New Orleans, and here you’ll find pure tranquility as you view the ancient oaks, jogging paths, a lagoon, and so much more. The Audubon Zoo is nearby, and when the weather is cooler that’s a lovely way to spend the day!

3. Crescent Park
This 1.4 mile, 20 acre linear park provides absolutely breathtaking views of the city. Enjoy the views of the Mighty Mississippi and the New Orleans skyline while walking or biking along the paved pathways. There are also lovely gardens, a dog run, and multi-use pavilions available for use.

4. Bayou Segnette State Park
Take just a short drive away from New Orleans in Westwego, and you’ll find yourself at Bayou Segnette State Park. Tons of trails to explore, playgrounds for the kids, fishing opportunities for all are just some of the activities visitors can enjoy. There are also cabins right on the lake that you can rent for a leisurely weekend filled with stunning views like this.

5. Lafreniere Park
Even though it’s technically in Metairie, it still deserves a space on this list. You and your four-legged friend will have a wonderful time over at Lafreniere Park. The beautiful landscaping, lush lawns, wide open green spaces, and trails will keep you occupied for the better part of the day.

6. Louis Armstrong Park
Just steps away from the French Quarter you’ll find this lovely 32 acre park. Once you enter that iconic archway, you’ll probably hear some amazing music from local musicians in a circle jam.

West End Park
Enjoy an amazing and quiet walk along the lakefront with beautiful views of Lake Pontchartrain. The 30 acre park has paved walkways to stroll down, and benches so you can relax and enjoy the water views and cool breezes.
