8 Reasons All Other Cities Should Be Jealous Of New Orleans
Whether you grew up here or you visited here and decided to stick around, New Orleans has a way of capturing your heart, and it should! New Orleans is the best city in the United States, and here are 9 reasons all other cities should be jealous of New Orleans.
1. Our food
From po’boys to beignets, our cuisine is one of the main reasons people travel from all over the world to visit New Orleans.
2. Seriously though, our food is amazing
So nice we had to say it twice. Where else can you get amazingly fresh seafood, prepared by some of the most talented chefs in the country?
3. New Orleanians are the nicest people in the country
New Orleanians take southern hospitality to a whole new level. We hold doors open for strangers, smile to others on the street, and will welcome you with open arms to our next crawfish boil.
4. Our history is unique
New Orleans is certainly a melting pot when it comes to our history. From Spanish influences to French, we have a rich history and we take great pride in that.
5. Our parks are breathtakingly beautiful
Take a stroll underneath canopies of ancient oaks at Audubon or take a moment to reflect at one of the ponds at City Park. Our parks are absolutely incredible and other cities should be jealous!
6. We know how to throw a party
New Orleans celebrates over 130 festivals every year, and we are just about to head into peak festival season. When we get into the cooler months of fall, you can expect a festival just about every weekend.
7. Mardi Gras
Typical, but important. New Orleanians have fond memories of going to parades with their parents as children, and getting to take your kids to those same parades is an incredibly memorable moment.
8. We are an artist’s city
We are a city for makers. We welcome musicians with open arms, we support local artists and hang their pieces in our homes with pride. We encourage creativity and inspire countless others to do the same.
