Stay Overnight In A 56-Year-Old Hotel That’s Said To Be Haunted At Bourbon Orleans In New Orleans
As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
We love a good ghost story in New Orleans, and this haunted hotel is full of them. If you want to experience some paranormal activity for yourself, book a room at Bourbon Orleans. This historic destination is not only beautiful — it’s loaded with intrigue and mystery.

Before it became the stunning hotel it is today, this building was the Orleans Theatre and Ballroom. In 1881, Sisters of the Holy Family turned the structure into a convent. Eventually, they turned it into an orphanage and school.

Rumor has it, these apparitions died of yellow fever back when the building was an orphanage. You may even see a ghostly nun looking after the children.

Visitors have reported hearing strange rustling sounds in the empty ballroom. Who knows? You may even catch a glimpse of this mysterious ghost as she twirls underneath the shimmering chandelier.
