Many locals may remember their original location that was run by Mary and Greg Sonnier over on Esplanade Avenue that sadly closed down after Hurricane Katrina.

The Sonnier’s daughter and namesake of the restaurant, Gabrielle Sonnier now co-owns the restaurant she grew up with, now located in the historic Treme neighborhood.

Those that remember the original will still find a few nostalgic dishes on the menu, and they’ve tried to keep the overall atmosphere the same as it was before.

Cooking is just like riding a bike, right? And these award-winning chefs have all your favorite Cajun dishes with a little New Orleans flair to them.

From homemade burgers to mouthwateringly good duck tamales, there’s something for everyone.

Nothing hits the spot better than a hearty gumbo on a cold day.

It's consistently voted one of the best from hungry New Orleanians.

While it can be tempting to make their incredible gumbo a meal of its own, you'd be missing out on some of their incredible dishes like fried rabbit leg, bone-in pork chops, slow-roasted duck, and many others.
