One thing’s for sure, in NOLA we love a good reason to gather and celebrate! If you are looking to discover a unique festival in the New Orleans area that will make you feel like you’ve traveled to a new country, then check out these five festivals. They are some of the most amazing that take place anywhere in the city!
This year, Oktoberfest will be back in Mid-City after leaving for Metairie the past two years. You are going to fall in love with the variety of beer and sausage available at this weekend event. It will definitely give you a taste of what to expect if you visit here.
This unique festival takes place at the Mary Queen of Vietnam Church in New Orleans’ East. They have an amazing array of Vietnamese food, exhibits on special Vietnamese cultural items, as well as awesome dancers and other performers.
This annual celebration is now in its 18th year and celebrates the diversity of Latin music and culture that is in New Orleans. This year the post parade concert at Generations Hall is free, with attendees being asked to donate to Hurricane Irma Carnaval relief funds.
This weekend, the Irish Festival will take place for the first time in New Orleans, and includes a full array of food, music, and irish cultural options. There’s an awesome lecture series as well as incredible Irish dancing that is sure to entertain all day long.
Each Memorial Day weekend in New Orleans, the annual bayou-side Greek Festival takes place at the Greek Orthodox and reminds you why Greece is one of the most amazing countries in the world. The best part is the amazing cuisine of course!
