A Meal At This Enchanting Restaurant Near New Orleans Will Leave You Speechless
Today we are traveling to beautiful Thibodaux to talk about an amazing restaurant that’s full of history and bold flavors. It’s about an hour drive from the city, and absolutely worth your time. Let’s take a closer look.
Welcome to Fremin’s, a wonderful restaurant located in historic downtown Thibodaux.
The building has a been a part of Thibodaux’s history for over a century.
The building dates back to 1878.
Mr. E.N. Roth Sr. built the building in 1878 and then in 1910 he opened the Roth Drugstore. Originally, the third floor (which was destroyed in 1965 during Hurricane Betsy) was residential, the second floor were offices, and the first floor was the drug store. Many locals have fond memories of visiting Roth Drugstore for their needs.
The Fremin brothers purchased the building in 1998.
After a two year restoration process, Fremin’s restaurant was open. From the mahogany storefront to the elegant dining room, you get a sense of nostalgia from the moment you walk in.
The second floor balcony is a delightful spot to enjoy your meal.
Take advantage of the wonderful weather and sit outside for a lunch with your friends and family.
The menu is a perfect marriage of Creole and Italian influenced dishes.
From their signature pastas to their fresh baked bread, the flavor combinations are incredible.
Fremin’s is open for lunch and dinner Tuesday - Friday and dinner on Saturdays.
Find them at 402 W 3rd St, Thibodaux, Louisiana 70301.
