1. District Donuts
At District Donuts, everything is made from scratch—even the sprinkles! They feature seven different donuts every day, so you’ll have to come back again and again to try them all. Don’t worry through, they’ll always have the classics: glazed, chocolate glazed, and cinnamon sugar. 2209 Magazine St., New Orleans, LA 70130, 5637 Magazine St., New Orleans, LA 70115, and 527 Harrison Ave., New Orleans, LA 70124.
2. The Buttermilk Drop
Opened in 2008, The Buttermilk Drop not only has some of the most amazing donuts, but their hot plates are equally amazing. Tiny but mighty, this little hidden gem is worthy of your time, and you’ll fall in love after just one bite. 1781 N. Dorgenois St, New Orleans, Louisiana 70119.
3. Sweet Things
This family donut shop is open 24 hours, so no matter when your sweet tooth hits, you can still grab a delicious donut. 1011 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Metairie, Louisiana 70005.
4. Bakers Dozen
This amazing little bakery has been around since 1993, and it’s time you tried one of their incredible donuts. When you buy a dozen, you’ll get one for free, and everyone loves a bargain, right? 3305 Jefferson Hwy, Jefferson, Louisiana 70121.
5. Blue Dot Donuts
Established in 2011, Blue Dot Donuts is the brainchild of NOPD officers Brandon Singleton, Dennis Giblant, and Ronnie Laporte. In 2017, Zach Menicucci-Foster purchased the shop and continues to bake some of the tastiest donuts in the city. 4301 Canal St., New Orleans, LA 70119.
