You’ll Never Forget Your Meal At This Old Creole Mansion Tucked Away In New Orleans

When the only thing better than the food is the atmosphere, you know you’ve found a real gem. This delightful restaurant has only been around for a couple of years, but quickly became a favorite neighborhood and you need to check it out.

Nestled underneath ancient oaks on Magazine Street in the Garden District, Cavan opened its doors in 2016.

Housed in a historic mansion that dates back to 1883, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time from the moment you walk in.

The floors creak as you walk, the walls are adorned with old photographs... it’s almost as though you’re walking through someone’s home or a museum.

Each dining room has its own unique atmosphere.

From the elegant chandeliers to the wall decorations, everything is perfect.

There is also a bar upstairs with seating and a television.

It's a great spot to watch a game!

Cavan's Happy Hour is one of the best in town.

Stop by any day of the week from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and share some delicious drinks with friends!

The menu features a delightful mix of classic American dishes with their own modern twist.

Using the freshest locally-sourced ingredients, you’ll see everything from shrimp and grits to a soft shell crab chalupa.

Don't forget to save room for dessert!

Cavan also serves up a delicious brunch on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

You can sleep in, roll out of bed, and head to Cavan for a tasty meal from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Cavan is open for dinner from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday and from 5 p.m. to midnight on Friday & Saturday.
