Boogie Down At The Blues & BBQ Fest In New Orleans This Fall

New Orleans is all about two things: food and music. When you combine the two, it makes for an epic weekend of festival fun that’s simply too good to pass up. From October 18-20, be sure to pass through Lafayette Square where you can experience the Crescent City Blues and BBQ Festival, one of the most delicious festivals in New Orleans. Just be sure to come hungry and be prepared to dance the day away to come incredible blues music.

Lafayette Square is a tiny but mighty park located in the heart of the Central Business District.

Designed in 1788, it’s actually the second oldest public park in New Orleans, with Jackson Square being the oldest.
On October 18-20, the park transforms in to a celebration of blues and BBQ that’s too good to pass up.

The festival is free to enter, with food and drinks available for purchase.
Two stages fill the park with incredible Blues musicians from all over.

All in all, roughly 20 musicians will take the stage over the 3-day festival.
Bring your lawn chairs and get there early to snag a good spot.

From Tab Benoit to Mason Ruffner, there will be music practically non-stop for the duration of the festival.
And of course, the Blues and BBQ Festival will have some incredible food vendors.

Finger-licking good BBQ ready and waiting for you to chow down on!
Several local BBQ restaurants will be out selling their spreads of great BBQ.

This year, you can grab some grub from local restaurants like The Joint, Central City BBQ, Bratz Y’all, Walkers BBQ, LA23 BBQ, and many others. There will also be ice cream from Quintin’s Ice Cream, Loretta’s Authentic Pralines will set up shop, as well as delicious crepes from Crepes a la Carte.
There will also be an arts market.

Get a head start on your holiday shopping by taking a stroll through their arts market, with 22 local and regional artists selling hand-crafted artworks and furnishings.

The Central City Blues and BBQ Festival takes place October 18- 20, 2019 at Lafayette Square Park.
Friday: 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday: 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
