Some of the best days are spent outdoors and on a hiking trail. Fortunately, there are easy hikes in New Orleans that the entire family will enjoy. Whether you are searching for a quick afternoon adventure or an easy stroll, there are multiple options all around the Big Easy. For example, one of the best kid-friendly hikes around New Orleans is the Couturie Forest Trail. This hiking trail is located right in the heart of the city and is exactly one mile long. You’ll get to enjoy a beautiful, forested trail that will make you feel far away from the craziness of city life.

For another scenic and easy hiking trail, head to the Northlake Nature Center. Not only is this gorgeous Mandeville attraction worth your time, but here, you can find the Eagle Trail Loop. This trail is only 0.75-miles long, but you’ll get to explore some gorgeous scenery including wetland views. Keep your eyes open for wildlife near this trail as well.

The Palmetto Trail is another scenic and kid-friendly hike around New Orleans that the entire family will want to revisit over and over again.
