4. Tickfaw State Park

5. Palmetto Island State Park

7. Lake Chicot State Park

8. Acadiana Park Nature Station
This 110-acre nature preserve in Lafayette is dedicated to teaching others about the importance of preserving our natural habitats. 9. Barataria Preserve
The boardwalk trails here will lead you down areas of the swamps you wouldn’t be able to get to any other way. There are several trails all under 3 miles, so you can mix and match.
