There have been many recorded deaths at the property, and many have reported strange experiences that had no rational explanation.
During the Civil War, Mary Moore stayed at the home with her sister in law and three of her house-servant slaves.

She eventually died there protecting the home, never seeing the end of the Civil War. Some say her spirit is still haunting the home, trying to keep union troops from invading.
Some have said that the children's room here is particularly haunted.

There were a group of ghost hunters who explored the house a few years back.

They recorded audible sounds from the 'spirit box', although no one could make out exactly what was said. Others witnessed spirits and ghosts roaming the halls, and some very spooky photos were taken.
