It’s Impossible Not To Love This Massive State Park In Louisiana
Louisiana has 21 state parks, each one prettier than the next. If you’re looking to spend some time in the great outdoors, look no further than this one amazing state park – it’s absolutely massive, so you’ll never run out of activities here!

At 6,400 acres, it’s the largest state park in Louisiana.

Swimming, hiking, canoeing, fishing… you can do it all at this South Central Louisiana park.

The 2,000-acre man-made lake is stocked with bass, crappie, bluegill, and more. They also offer boat and canoe rentals if you don't want to bring your own!

The 20-mile trail completely encircles Lake Chicot and immerses you in the park’s natural landscape. From swamps to the lake itself, you’ll have some picture perfect views.

You'll need the entire weekend (at least!) to explore the entire park.

You can find information about rentals on the Louisiana State Parks' website here. There are also primitive campsites and RV sites.

Gators, turtles, several different species of birds, and hundreds of other critters call the area home.

You can find it at 3469 Chicot Park Rd., Ville Platte, LA 70586.
