Located in the shadows of LSU in Baton Rouge, the LSU Hilltop Arboretum is a natural oasis that’s just begging to be explored.

The arboretum was established by Emory Smith in 1929, and donated to the university in 1981.

Today, the Hilltop Arboretum features 14 acres of more than 150 species of native trees, shrubs, and wildflowers.

There's also a nursury and a gift shop that's open Tuesday - Friday from 9 a.m. till 4:30 p.m.
