Laurel Valley Village, in particular, should move to the top of the list, and once you visit, you’ll understand why. You’ll feel like you’ve been transported back to the past as you meander through what was once one of the largest sugar plantations in Lafourche Parish, learning about the history of the plantation as well as the area. It makes for a great day trip for families with kids of all ages, especially since you’ll be able to feed all the farm animals on the property. Let’s take a closer look.
