If you want to explore a Louisiana park that really comes alive in the winter, then you should visit City Park in New Orleans. The 30th annual Celebration in the Oaks is happening this week and it’s an amazing place to visit. Let’s explore:
This park is already beautiful in every other season. But in the winter, it really comes to life, because of Celebration in the Oaks.
It's said that more than 600,000 lights are used to decorate the park in beautiful ways.
This is actually where this tradition began, and the things they do with the lights on some of the largest and most beautiful live oak trees in the park is breathtaking.
Also at Carousel Gardens are the annual children's trees made by schools across the greater New Orleans area. They each decorate the tree according to a theme. They are adorable!
