Adventure Awaits The Whole Family At Greenwood Gator Farm In Louisiana

Gator farms are a great way to spend some time with the family. You’ll be spending time outdoors, learning about Louisiana’s wildlife, and getting up close and personal with some of these majestic beasts. For a fun-filled day that the whole family will love, pay a visit to Greenwood Gator Farm in Louisiana, where you might even get the opportunity to hold an alligator!

You’ll find Greenwood Gator Farm just outside of Houma in the tiny town of Gibson, Louisiana.

This full-time, working alligator farm hatches anywhere between 5,000-10,000 alligators each year and during your tour, you’ll learn all about these little guys.

From new hatchlings to full-grown gators, you’ll see creatures of every shape and size at Greenwood Gator Farm.

And you’ll get pretty close to them!

Feeding time is always a sight to see.

If you want, you can even hold a baby gator - a real treat the whole family will love!

But Greenwood Gator Farm is more than just a land-based touring attraction; they also offer swamp tours.

You’ll take to the bayous in a pontoon boat, navigating the waterways with a knowledgeable captain who will teach you all about the area and the wildlife within it.

After your tour, be sure to check out the gift shop, where you can purchase a memento to remember your visit!

Tours are offered at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. daily, but you’ll want to call in advance to reserve your spot.
