Even Though Mardi Gras Was Cancelled, You Can Still Experience The Parade At Floats In The Oaks In Louisiana
Sure, Mardi Gras is going to look much different this year, but different doesn’t always mean bad! There may not be any parades, but that certainly hasn’t stopped locals from celebrating. You’ve probably seen photos circulating of all the homes turning their front lawns into epic house floats. Well, the folks over at New Orleans’ City Park have teamed up with some of the most popular parades in New Orleans to bring you Floats in the Oaks, one of the most unique Mardi Gras attractions in Louisiana.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. For a once in a lifetime Mardi Gras experience, head over to New Orleans’ City Park for “Floats in the Oaks.”
Since we can’t attend any parades this year, the folks at City Park have teamed up with all your favorite krewes to bring you a very unique style of parade.
Instead of the floats moving, you will! Over 40 floats will be stationed throughout the park for a socially distant, drive-thru parade.
And instead of throws, you’re encouraged to bring your own beads and throw them from your car! Keep an eye out for the bullseyes for throwing opportunities.
