Today we’re heading over to Baton Rouge to explore Elsie’s Plate & Pie, where they’re serving up some of the best pies in Louisiana.
Located in Baton Rouge’s Mid-City neighborhood, Elsie’s Plate & Pie is a neighborhood favorite when it comes to comfort food.

Owner Paul Chauvin Dupré had no second thoughts when he named the restaurant after his grandmother, from whom he learned his love of cooking and baking pies.
Popular savory pies include the iconic Natchitoches meat pie and the crawfish hand pie, but you’ll also find some Elsie specialties like seafood pot pies and crab pies.
