Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park is one of 17 resorts within the Kentucky State Parks system. The Mary Ray Oaken Lodge, which is basically a beautiful hotel, sits on the edge of a cliff, overlooking the lake.
The lodge has the rustic atmosphere you'd expect, but you may not even notice it at first, thanks to the massive windows and views. The lodge does have a restaurant, an outdoor pool, plenty of space to relax, and 60 rooms that are clean and comfortable.
Each of the rooms comes with a balcony or patio that overlooks the lake. The lodge has the appearance of a mountain hotel, hidden on the hill, overlooking the water.
Choose a room with either a king bed or two queens, and you'll also enjoy features such as a table and chairs, flat screen TV, and a spacious bathroom. Special rates are even available for Kentucky residents.
The views from the lodge and the surrounding property will make it difficult to want to venture out. However, you'll definitely want to explore this 28,000-acre lake and its surroundings.
The park offers a marina with boat rentals, fishing supplies, hiking trails, and much more. Many of the trails end in a view like the one below, so every adventure is definitely worth it.
