Small towns are the place to be during fall in Kentucky. Many of them come to life with farmer’s markets, festivals and, of course, beautiful autumn color. One particular town in central Kentucky is simply stunning in the fall with ample opportunity for scenic hiking, small town shopping, festivals, and history. Berea is known as the Folk Arts and Crafts Capital of Kentucky, and there’s even more to love about this charming town this time of year.
During your visit to Berea, you have to spend time browsing and shopping.
Chestnut Street is decked out for the season and is a lovely place to wander on a fall day. You also need to stop by Artisan Village to get a true sense of what Berea is all about.
If you're in town on a Tuesday or Saturday, you should also stop by the Berea Farmer's Market.
The overlook areas in Berea allow for some of the best vistas in the state. And as you can see from the photos above, the views are especially breathtaking when splattered with fall color.
