What are the best water parks in Kentucky? Kentucky offers several water parks and they each have their own, exciting features. Prizer Point is a unique spot with the inflatable water park, and so many other amenities and attractions on the campground property. Kentucky Splash Waterpark in Williamsburg is another fun-filled destination that is a more traditional park with many slides, a wave pool, and even an adjoining campground. SomerSplash Waterpark in Somerset is a favorite place to cool off in eastern Kentucky and has a great area for kids. Beech Bend Park in Bowling Green will also keep you cool this summer. If you live in western Kentucky, head to Venture River Water park for plenty of fun in the sun.
When do water parks open in Kentucky? Typically, water parks in Kentucky open Memorial Day Weekend. Of course hours vary based on the park, and some do open earlier in May. Most of these parks stay open through Labor Day, or even beyond. The best way to be sure the park is open is to check out its website and follow along with them on Facebook.
What do I need to bring to a water park in Kentucky? Summertime can get very hot in Kentucky, so thankfully there are many water parks throughout the state. When visiting one of these destinations, always bring along a towel, sunscreen, and water if you’re allowed to bring it in with you. You may also consider bringing cash for things like locker rental or other snacks and drinks that require it.
