A little less than three hours southeast of Louisville is the picturesque area of Cumberland Falls. During your visit, make sure to check out Dupont Lodge, and perhaps plan a return trip so you can stay in one of their lovely rooms or rental cabins. You can also grab a bite to eat at Riverview Restaurant.
The park has many trails that range in difficulty and are beautiful any time of year.

You can stop by the visitor center for a map, but you'll definitely want to take the easy hike to the overlook and get an up close look at this magnificent falls.
