Sleep Among The Old-Growth Oaks And Hickories At The Kentucky Climber’s Cottage Treehouse
As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
Here in Kentucky, we like to really embrace the Great Outdoors. Our outdoor recreation is incredible; our scenic beauty and natural wonders unparalleled. To really revel in the Bluegrass State’s beauty, there’s nothing better than setting up camp and spending a night beneath Kentucky’s big skies (we have campgrounds and parks that are perfect for stargazing, too!). But there’s also something to be said about spending the night beneath the forest canopy. It’s magical. And at the Kentucky Climber’s Cottage Treehouse, you’ll get to do just that.
In rural Germantown, Kentucky, there's a place of pure fantasy.
This treehouse Airbnb was designed for a Kentucky climbing couple by the legendary Pete Nelson, the master builder from the popular "Treehouse Masters" series.
Inside this two-story treehouse, you'll find everything needed for a relaxing getaway, including creature comforts like electric, a wood-burning strove, and air conditioning.
The main living area has a pull-out couch, while the upstairs loft features a cozy, king-sized bed and floor-to-ceiling windows. Up here, you'll truly feel as though you're sleeping in the trees.
I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
