Sheltowee Trace Adventure Resort in Corbin is the ultimate Kentucky destination for outdoor family fun.
They already offer a wide variety of lodging options, but they just added three incredible covered wagons that may just be the most unique overnight stay in the state.
The wagons are modeled after the authentic ones that once took adventurers through Kentucky on their way to the wild west.
They range in price from $149/night to $169/night, depending on which days of the week you choose.
The King bed has a pull-out twin bed underneath, which takes maximum advantage of the space. There is also a set of bunks, providing two more twin beds.
While early settlers would have had their wagons filled with supplies, these are filled with the comforts of home, while still maintaining plenty of historic character.
Each wagon has a small microwave and fridge, as well as some counter space, and restrooms just a few steps away. A nice bathhouse is also close by on the property.
There are also cabin and camping options for lodging and plenty of activities to keep you busy. You can raft to the nearby Cumberland Falls for an unforgettable Kentucky adventure. They also offer canoeing, kayaking, zip lining, and much more. Be sure to visit their website (linked below) to see how you can turn your overnight in the covered wagon into a days-long vacation.
