There are certain places in our beautiful state that many do not believe are actually in Kentucky. Those not familiar with Kentucky’s landscape are shocked to find out that we are home to massive caves, scenic gorges, mountains, and areas such as the Berea Pinnacles. As one of the best hiking spots in the Bluegrass, this scenic route is actually several trails that lead to the most spectacular views. Lucky for us, talented photographer Freeman Kelly has captured the East Pinnacle in an amazing drone video from the sky. Check out this beautiful area of Kentucky and plan your own visit to get the best sunrise view in the state.

Berea is a town in Kentucky that really should be on your bucket list of places to visit.

This college town offers so much variety, but some of its best features are the hiking trails through the Berea Pinnacles.

It shows the East Pinnacle, as seen above, as well as the impressive views you can take in while hiking in the area. There are several trails to choose from or plan a day or two to tackle them all.
The East Pinnacle is a must for its sweeping views, which are so worth the climb.

And these trails are quite a climb, so keep that in mind when heading out. Bring lots of water and dress appropriately for the weather. As with any trail - especially at sunrise - it's best to not do this alone.

Fog only adds to the beauty of the area and the green of the trees in early summer make for the perfect backdrop.
As you may expect, this scenic trail in Kentucky is quite popular, but going early does help to avoid the crowds.

If you absolutely cannot get up before dawn, don't worry - this hike and these views are amazing any time of day.
All of the trails at the Pinnacles of Berea deserve a visit, and it’s more than worth the effort to climb up to this awe-inspiring spot.

This unique destination in Kentucky may be unbelievable to some, but we know that natural beauty abounds in the Bluegrass State. This is just one more example of its wonder.
