This Award-Winning Kentucky Restaurant Serves The Best Pasta In The South
There’s no shortage of great Italian restaurants in Kentucky, but if you’re looking for the best pasta in the south, you’ll find it at Bella Notte in Lexington. Check it out:
Welcome to Bella Notte! The name means "Beautiful Night" in Italian, and that's exactly what you'll experience when you dine here. You'll find the restaurant at 3715 Nicholasville Rd., Lexington, KY 40503.
This restaurant opened back in 1996, and it's been serving the most incredible pasta ever since. It's garnered plenty of attention, both from local restaurant critics as well as Sophisticated Living magazine. It's also won the Herald-Leader's Reader's Choice Award, and the Open Table Diner's Choice Award.
If you're looking for a romantic place to dine, you just found it. From the huge tree in the dining room decked out in twinkle lights, to the stellar service, this place is magical in the evenings.
Everything on the menu at Bella Notte is delicious, but it's the pasta that really shines. Chef Kevin combines local, seasonal ingredients with traditional Old World recipes for the perfect dishes.
From traditional favorites like fettuccini alfredo...
...and spaghetti with meatballs...
...to classics with a twist, like the lasagna made with tomato basil cream, your tastebuds will bask in the flavors of Italy here. The restaurant's owner, Kuni Toyoda, has been in the business for 40 years, and his son Kevin trained in Italy, so the dishes are all authentic, but also combine unique Kentucky tastes.
Don't forget to leave some room for dessert! The tiramisu here is award-winning, and seasonal desserts like this chocolate bread pudding are simply divine.
Bella Notte is open Sunday though Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday til 11 p.m..
