Today's adventure is the beautiful and historic Western Vistas Historic Byway, where you are taken through years of history in every mile.

Topping off at just over 100 miles of travel, the road begins in Scott City on US Hwy 83.

It then takes you north to Oakley, and then west, all the way to Sharon Springs.

In our path, there are six different museums as well as seven National Historic Sites. Not counting all the limestone formations and wildlife you'll see along the way, that is.

The included museums (in order) are Jerry Thomas Gallery, El Quartelejo Museum, Keystone Gallery, Fick Fossil Museum, Butterfield Trail Museum, and Fort Wallace Museum. That's a lot to see, so feel free to spread this trip out over a few days!
