10 Reasons No One In Their Right Mind Visits Kansas In The Winter
Last I checked, we Kansans all hate the winter. Anytime you see us post “beautiful” photos of the snow or our kids playing in it, they’re all lies to make you think we’re happy. There’s absolutely nothing good about the snow or cold here in Kansas, and we’re out to prove it. Just in case you were thinking of visiting this state during the winter, we’ve made this list of things to help you see why you definitely shouldn’t. No one really visits Kansas in the winter unless they’re forced to, anyways.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate

This picture couldn't have been taken in Kansas, because we all stay inside when it snows.

The bluish glow on that tree? Ugh. Anything else could be prettier.

Who likes exploring frozen waterfalls, anyways? Jeez.

Everything is grey in the winter, and there's just no color to be found.

Eagles? We don't get any of those in the winter. What do you mean, winter wildlife?

See? This perfectly good photo of a barn was ruined by snow. Isn't that great.

What's romantic about walking hand-in-hand and snuggling close with hot chocolate? Nothing that I can see.

Mount Sunflower, completely ruined. Snow just takes away so much from a great photo.

Obviously this adorable cow was photoshopped in, because there's no way it's here naturally.

Any Kansan knows the skies are always grey, the sun goes away for weeks, and we're all miserable every winter. It's pointless to even take your camera outside, because it just looks so bad outside.
While you’re exploring our beautiful state this winter, why not look for some of the 25 miniature Statues of Liberty hiding around?
