10 Mysterious, Unusual Spots In Kansas You Might Have Missed
Kansas is home to some odd people, but these unusual places are on my bucket list, for sure. Have you been to any of these? Are they as weird as they seem?
1. Firefly Forest in Overland Park
We all love a good walk in the park, but what if you were sharing it with fairies? These little homes were human-made, but you don't have to tell the kids that! Check out the film
and visit at13870 Antioch Rd, Overland Park, KS
2. Emmett Kelly Museum in Sedan
So maybe I had to write a report on this clown in grade school, and I may or may not be afraid of most clowns. This man, however, was probably the saddest clown I've seen. Learn about his life at 204 E Main St, Sedan, KS
3. Mushroom Rock State Park in Brookville
Rocks shaped like mushrooms? I thought I had seen everything. Don't believe me? Visit at Ave K, Brookville, KS
4. Political Art of M.T. Liggett in Mullinville
Get your chuckles at this strange location, filled with scrap, signs, and satire.
5. St. Jacob's Well in Englewood
I'm sure you've heard the rumor that this well is never-ending, but I'm sure it has to end somewhere. Just too far for me to swim, that's all.
6. Museom of the Odd in Lawrence
Why do you have a couch full of sock monkeys? Why are there round rocks in glass? Ask this oddmuseum, because as an outsider, I've got no clue.
7. Prairie Dog Town in Oakley
Sadly, it's closed, but the famous 6-legged steer and the other animal oddities on site are beyond strange. Maybe they'll open back up someday?
8. Asylum Bridge in Osawatomie
On the way to a supposed haunted asylum (what asylum isn't, these days) there's a little bridge that just feels... odd. You'll have to visit to understand what I mean when I say this is an unusual place.
9. Garden of Eden in Lucas
This oddity is at 305 E 2nd St, Lucas, KS. Don't be eating any apples here, guys.
10. Paul Boyer Museum of Animate Carvings in Belleville
At 1205 M Street in Belleville, check out some of the most intricate carving work you’ve ever seen in Kansas.
Well, have you seen anything like these unusual spots? Have you been somewhere stranger? Tell me! Also, check out this
